Not only do I like to listen to music throughout the week but I like to drink too. Here’s my top picks for places to get your drink on or eat for cheap. This will help if you’re single and going on dates!!
Monday: Village Pizzeria in Coronado
You can start your week out by enjoying a slice of pizza while taking advantage of their happy hour specials. 3-6pm, 9pm-close: $3.50 drafts, $5 wine by the glass. $2 off artichoke hearts and mozzarella sticks.
Tuesday: U-31 in North Park
All Day – Taco Tuesday at U-31. $2 drafts and $2 street tacos. My favorite Taco Tuesday spot. No Cover. Plus, it's Karaoke Night, starts at 9 pm. More than likely, you'll see me here on a Tuesday.
Wednesday: The Field in Gaslamp
It’s hump day, it’s definitely time to drink. Perhaps we can get a little sloppy mid-week. $3.25 imports, $2.75 domestics, $5 20-oz drafts, $4 house wine, $3.50 wells. $3 homemade chips, $4 beer-battered onion rings, $5 Irish potato skins.
Happy hour is open til 7 pm. You can also watch the soccer game -- Liverpool vs Sunderland @ 1.00pm No Cover.
Thursday: Bar Dynamite in Mission Hills
We’re headed to the weekend and nothing beats $2 Tall Cans and music with Resident DJs. DK, Saso, EleFunk, and Pacman will be spinning this night. Plus, if you want to be fancy and upgrade from the Tall Cans, they have $3 well drinks and half-off all other drinks from 5 – 9pm.
Friday: The Ould Sod in Normal Heights
You can also stop by for some cheap drinks at The Ould Sod. Stop by between 4 – 7pm to catch their cheap $2.75 wells and $4 20 oz imports. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Saturday: Turf Club in Golden Hill
I miss living in Golden Hill but when I did, I would hit up Turf Club between noon – 5 pm for their $5 lunch special on the weekends. They will also give you $1 off your beer.
Sunday: West Coast Tavern in North Park
Of course I couldn’t forget my favorite Bar in town, West Coast Tavern. Start the END of your week by having Brunch here and enjoying their happy hour from 4 – 6pm. Their happy hour includes $15 Pitcher of Moscow Mule, $5 appetizers, $3 draft beers, $3 wells, and $3 house wines.
