San Diego’s fastest-growing, non-franchise breakfast concept, Breakfast Republic, has officially added a ninth location to its growing roster, bringing the same beloved morning dishes found at its other locations to Mission Valley’s hungry brunch lovers. Known for slinging creative renditions of breakfast favorites, it’s no surprise that this quirky and innovative morning eatery has seen egg-celent growth since the opening of its first San Diego location in 2015.
Situated in the 2,436 square-foot space previously occupied by Panda Express in Mission Valley’s Park Valley Center complex, the new addition fills the area’s niche for a brunch option suited to both locals and visitors alike.
Touting the idyllic combination of Insta-worthy menu items matched with equally as photogenic brunch-inspired decor, Breakfast Republic’s egg-shaped waiting room chairs and whisk-shaped light fixtures pair seamlessly with revamped morning classics such as Churro Pancakes, Banana Split French Toast and Breakfast Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
As a part of the San Diego-based Rise & Shine Restaurant Group, this is the consortium's 14th restaurant location overall, adding to eight other Breakfast Republic outposts (including one recently opened in Irvine, CA), three Fig Tree Café locations, recently opened North Park Breakfast Company, and popular Mexican establishment, El Jardin. Owner/founder of the food-centric operation, Johan Engman, has become a local icon and industry pioneer, with his travel-driven inspiration and undying hunger for innovation fueling his growing restaurant empire.
Don’t waste your most important meal of the day on something subpar – head to Breakfast Republic and see why this morning gem is nothing short of extraordinary.
Breakfast Republic’s Mission Valley location is perched at 1570 Camino de la Reina, San Diego, CA 92108. Hours of operation: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.
