The 22nd District Agricultural Association, the organization traditionally responsible for presenting the annual San Diego County Fair, is getting back to our roots to present HOME*GROWN*FUN, a four-week celebration of community and agriculture offering a taste of what San Diegans have grown to love about the annual fair. HOME*GROWN*FUN will kick off on Friday, June 11 and will wrap up on Sunday, July 4 and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. All admissions are $10; children 5 and younger get in FREE. All admission and parking passes ($12 per vehicle) must be purchased online in advance. There will be no onsite admission or parking transactions.

This year's attraction will offer plenty of entertainment ranging from Swifty Swine Racing Pigs to Godfrey the Magician and venturing through Agri-land. The Ferris Wheel, The Grand Wheel, pony rides and a colorful Carousel will the featured rides. There will be plenty of fair favorites to choose from including those deep fried favorites, BBQ, sweets and treats.

Because of the limitations on mass events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, combined with the ongoing commitment to using of a large portion of the Del Mar Fairgrounds facility as a vaccination super station, it is not feasible to host the annual fair in its full capacity.

Smaller in scale and limited in attendance, “HOME*GROWN*FUN presented by the San Diego County Fair” will offer a taste of fair favorites, including shopping, food concessionaires, a Ferris wheel and carousel, agricultural-themed exhibits, and demonstrations and entertainment designed to educate and delight families looking to get outside for some real-life, in-person, down-home, but still masked-up and socially-distanced fun.

HOME*GROWN*FUN will adhere to all state and county public health guidelines in effect at the time of the event and has developed a COVID-19 operational plan. Guests will be required to wear masks, remain distanced from other guests and are encouraged to wash their hands often. Additionally, capacity to this event is limited and guests must purchase admission and parking tickets in advance, online only. No parking or admissions will be sold on site.

Visit sdfair.com for more information on admission and transportation.

HOME*GROWN*FUN hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. in Del Mar.
