The Surfrider Foundation’s San Diego Chapter and Eggies Pacific Beach are joining forces for Earth Day to encourage San Diegans to help keep our coastline clean and litter-free. The partnership kicks off on April 18th from 9 a.m. to noon at Eggies Pacific Beach, where Surfrider will set up a check-in tent next to the grab-n-go breakfast window for those participating in their beach clean-up that day. During that time, $1 from every breakfast sandwich or jar sold at that Eggies location will go to the Surfrider Foundation, and free coffee will be available for each beach clean-up participant who brings a reusable coffee container.
Those who can’t make it can still show their support from Sunday, April 18th to Wednesday, April 21st, during which Eggies will donate $1 to Surfrider for every Eggies branded jar returned to the Pacific Beach location. The jars that folks return will be cleaned, sanitized and reused! All other Eggies to-go containers are compostable – check out Surfrider’s tips on how to easily build your own composting bin at home. Eggies is located at 4465 Mission Blvd., San Diego, CA 92109.
